A practical introduction to CHBOM’s main workflows.

English preview: key interface labels are available in English. Supported export panels offer a separate Korean/English document-language choice. Some advanced messages and historical notices remain in Korean. Names, notes and custom menu labels entered by your church are kept as entered.

1. Sign in & switch language

Sign in with your assigned account. Church owners complete email verification where required. Use the Language selector on the sign-in screen or app header to choose Korean or English. The preference is saved on the current browser or device; church content is not translated.

  1. Choose the correct church and account. Owners keep existing email verification and the 30-day trusted-device policy.
  2. If sign-in fails, check the username and password. After repeated failures, wait before trying again; an English interface does not bypass security.
  3. The language preference belongs to this browser/device. Switching language does not sign you out or change church records.

2. Understand your access

The church owner decides which menus you can open and which records you may view or manage. A read-only account can see only its permitted fields and detail tabs. Ask your owner if an expected menu is missing.

  1. Read-only templates can limit both the offices included in the directory and the member fields shown. Detail-tab access is also controlled separately.
  2. Assigning a group leader, committee officer or church office does not grant login permissions. The owner assigns account permissions separately.
  3. Exporting never widens viewing permissions. If records or actions are missing, ask the owner to check the menu and assigned scope.

3. Manage members & families

Open Members to search, filter and sort the directory. Open a person for permitted contact details, faith history, family, ministry affiliations or pastoral records. Register or edit only when authorized. On mobile, use the back action to leave a detail or editing screen.

  1. Use search and filters to narrow the list, then select a name to open details. View only fields your role permits.
  2. For registration or editing, review required fields, affiliations and family links before saving. Use Cancel or the supported back action to leave without saving.
  3. When importing a supported file, inspect the preview and mapping. Review duplicates and errors before committing changes. Export selected members and allowlisted fields only.

4. Districts & small groups

Open the district/group tab within Members. Filter by existing affiliations, sort by district then group, collapse lists, and move a selected member to a destination district and group. Custom organization names remain unchanged in English.

  1. Use the existing district and small-group affiliations as the filter source. Custom labels such as Cell or Zone remain authoritative.
  2. Choose the person, destination district and destination group before moving. A move changes affiliation; it does not grant administrator access.
  3. For a roster, choose the selected group, all groups in a district, or all permitted groups. Review the output language and preview before saving.

5. Record attendance

Choose the date and service, then use the attendance button to mark a person present. Press again to clear the check. Review the visible state and save messages. Department and Sunday-service attendance may be separate; use the correct register and permissions.

  1. Select the service and reporting date before checking names. A visible present state confirms a check; clearing it removes that check.
  2. Statistics follow the permitted reporting scope, not the name-search text. Missing records are not automatically a confirmed absence in every register; read the counting rules.
  3. In export controls, choose Document language and a format. Optional rosters include names, affiliations and attendance counts, not contacts or private notes. Excel retains numeric cells; PowerPoint charts remain editable.

6. Newcomer registration & completion

Use filters to find existing members, select one or multiple people, and review before registering them as newcomers. In the newcomer course screen, choose a completion date before confirming completion. Authorized users can change it later.

  1. Filter existing members by registration year or other available conditions, then select multiple people if needed. Review selections before registering.
  2. Choose a completion date when completing a newcomer course. Change that date only with the relevant editing permission.
  3. Course attendance and Sunday service attendance may use different records. Check the correct register before updating attendance.

7. Events, daily schedules & bulletins

Create an event with a title, date and time, group and visibility. Enable dashboard display when needed. In Today’s Schedule, use the 24-hour timeline to place timed activities. Church Bulletins can link a public church bulletin page.

  1. Use event groups to organize the list. Choose start/end dates and times, location and contact person. Record the presider, dedication ministry and guest-speaker time where appropriate.
  2. Dashboard visibility does not remove event access restrictions. Today’s Schedule is a separate 24-hour timeline with 30-minute placement.
  3. For printing, choose a period and group. Automatic birthdays and holidays are excluded. PDF and Word/Hangul use a chronological list; Excel uses a chronological table.

8. Teams, offices & discipleship

Manage organizations, committees and role assignments. Search and select people, set role titles and reporting years, and review a copy preview before copying annual rosters. Training records can include a course and completion date. Roles do not automatically change login permissions.

  1. Choose the reporting year and organization before adding assignments. Search for people or select multiple members for a committee.
  2. Create role titles such as deputy chair or secretary when needed. Review source and destination years, duplicates and preview before copying annual rosters.
  3. Ministry exports contain only the organization, head, committee, officers and members in an editable table. They do not add contact details, notes, status or dates.

9. Import & export safely

Use supported files and inspect the import preview, field mapping and duplicates before saving. For exports, select the reporting scope and format, then complete the system save or share flow available on your platform. Choose Document language in the export panel. The choice starts with the interface language but can be changed independently. Names, saved organization titles, notes and imported templates stay as entered.

  1. Export language changes first-party titles, column headers and guidance. It does not translate names, saved service/organization names or custom certificate content.
  2. Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx) and Hangul (.hwpx) are offered where supported by that export panel. HWPX is not the older binary .hwp format. PDF uses the supported system save/print flow.
  3. Choose a destination before generation where the platform supports it. In a mobile share sheet, choose Save to Files. A download request or opened print dialog is not confirmation that a file was saved.
  4. For certificates, an English starter layout is available explicitly. Loading it changes only the editor until you save to the church server. Existing templates are not automatically overwritten.

10. Review security & backups

Keep your verification email and trusted devices up to date. Use the security settings available to your role. Create backups before important changes, and share exported personal information only with authorized recipients.

  1. Use Settings → Security to review the controls available to your role. Only owners can change the church security notification email after the required verification.
  2. Keep verification codes, passwords, session tokens and church member exports private. Never paste them into the public request board.
  3. Review trust and backup settings before major changes. Interface translation does not change authentication, tenant isolation, advertising consent or data-retention policy.
